The Oak Bar

Our traditional Cotswold bar is the perfect place to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, a casual midweek lunch, or a warming cup of coffee in front of the log burner after a wet winter dog walk. Open to members of the public as well as hotel residents it provides a welcoming, friendly feel, full of traditional charm where dogs are very welcome too.

Whether it’s meeting for cocktails before heading out for a night in town, a quick pint after work, or somewhere to relax and enjoy an after dinner drink the Oak Bar offers a friendly, cosy and relaxed atmosphere.

Eat

Our lounge and bar menu offers a more casual dining option for those wanting to dine in the Bar at lunchtimes or in the evening.

Featuring a selection of British favourites, sandwiches and paninis. It’s popular with those who have their dogs with them as the Oak Bar is dog-friendly so you will often come across a furry friend or two in residence.

It can be busy, especially at weekends, so it is advisable to book a table if you specifically want to eat in the bar.

Dogs Welcome

Dogs are very welcome to join their well-behaved owners for refreshments and meals in the Oak Bar as well as our lounge and garden terrace.

As a dog-friendly hotel they are guaranteed to get lots of fuss from both staff and guests alike and with so many lovely walks right on our doorstep it is the perfect place to stop in before heading home.

"Garden Views Breakfast. Lovely place with beautiful walled garden. Plenty of parking. Lovely sized room for the two of us and our dog. The breakfasts were amazing, lots of freshly cooked choices as well as continental buffet. Reasonably priced evening meal, which was delicious. Very accommodating for people with dogs. Very pleasant mini break in a comfortable and welcoming place."

The menu catered for the various tastes including both vegetarian and pescatarian choices. The hardest thing was to choose from the amazing cheese menu featuring local and regional cheeses! The staff were friendly and attentive. A great night was had by all. Looking forward to the next opportunity to come again.
