Set in a tranquil, out of town location with ample free onsite parking, Stratton House provides a peaceful, relaxed and more intimate location from which to remember and celebrate the life of your loved one.
Our Stratton Suite with its separate bar, can provide a private space for family and friends to gather and with various dining options from finger buffets to full sit down meals available we can help create the memorial you wish.
We also find that our beautiful walled gardens provide an additional space in which guests can take a moment of reflection.
Our experienced team will be on hand to help throughout the planning of your event, and on the day itself to take care of everything you need.

Information for your visit
Our Stratton Suite provides a private event space away from the rest of the hotel and can be set up in a number of different configurations.
If you are looking for something smaller the Garden Restaurant can also be an option.
Our gardens also provide a more casual option as well as being a place for reflection.
We can offer a range of different catering options including:
- Hot and cold finger buffets
- Full sit down meals
- Outside food options
- Our full restaurant menu within the Garden Restaurant
We can cater for 100 people for a sit down meal and up to 120 standing for a finger buffet.
Yes. We have an experienced events co-ordinator who will take the time to understand what you want and give advice on menu options etc.

Breakfast choices were excellent, especially the gluten-free options.

"Beautiful small hotel with very friendly and efficient staff. We took our mother for her 81st Birthday and the staff were so lovely to her. The Food was excellent. We had a deal from Secret Escapes so Spa and Food was included and price was very reasonable. It’s only a small spa Sauna/Steam Room and a Hot Tub but exceptionally clean it does get busy so be sure to book a time slot before you go. We went at dusk and the Hot Tub over looks the garden which made it very atmospheric. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again"
"Had a really lovely afternoon tea with our friends today to celebrate my 80th birthday. One of our party was vegetarian and they made a nice option of sandwiches and a tasty quiche. Plenty of cakes and two homemade scones each with loads of jam and clotted cream. Great selection of specialty teas including apple crumble, which was strange but very tasty. Excellent value. Lovely staff. Would highly recommend."
