"My wife had received a mid-June birthday present from her brother and sister-in-law of a voucher for tea at Stratton House. Since she hadn't used it by the time of my own early August birthday, and as the pub where we'd have chosen to lunch was closed on a Tuesday, she agreed that we should book tea. We greatly enjoyed the experience, sitting with a view over the lawn and gardens at the back of the hotel as we were brought individual selections of tea, sandwiches, scones and cakes. We were particularly impressed that she had a vegetarian sausage roll, since the young man who took the booking asked about any dietary requirements and I told him she doesn't eat meat: well done."

"We had a lovely stay at the Stratton House Hotel. Staff are very friendly especially the bar man who kept us entertained of an evening. The food is amazing and not overpriced also drinks are on par with pub prices."

"The location was perfect, loads of parking and a nice patio at the rear of the hotel, so you could look out over the garden. We ate at the hotel that evening following a walk into town. We ate in the main bar, and the food was simply amazing. The pie was probably the best we've had, as was the Caesar salad."

"The staff were lovely, the hot breakfast cooked to order with a small buffet for cereals, fruit, yogurt etc. The hotel had a nice feel, with board games to play on a rainy morning and staff checking if you needed anything, like a drink. Afternoon tea was delicious, with scones freshly baked. Would love to return soon."
