We believe that the best memories are made when everyone is together including the furry members of the family.

That’s why we have a number of dog-friendly rooms at Stratton House Hotel near Cirencester and allow well-behaved pets to join their owners in the lounge and bar as well as our walled gardens so they really can be part of the experience of staying with us.

With walks directly from the hotel and an abundance of dog-friendly walks and activities nearby in the Cotswold Lakes and surrounding areas, we are a popular choice for guests looking to take a break with their four-legged friends.

Good To Know

The local area is abundant with footpaths and trails perfect for leisurely dog walks and exploration. It’s a dog’s paradise with ample space to run, play, and enjoy the fresh countryside air.

Check in from 3pm and check out anytime before 11am.

Our Oak Bar can get busy and so if you would like to dine with us we recommend you make a reservation in advance of your stay.

Dog Dining

Dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not permitted in the Garden Restaurant however, they can join you for meals in the lounge and Oak Bar.

Dogs are allowed in the Oak Bar, lounge and gardens and designated pet-friendly rooms only.

There is a £20 additional charge per night for pets.

"Lovely place with beautiful walled garden. Plenty of parking. Lovely sized room for the two of us and our dog. The breakfasts were amazing, lots of freshly cooked choices as well as continental buffet. Reasonably priced evening meal, which was delicious. Very accommodating for people with dogs. "Just what we had hoped for! An attractive and comfortable hotel in which we could thoroughly relax. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice.The beds were very comfortable and the superior ground floor room was spacious. The hotel itself was very pleasant and nicely decorated, and the walled garden was lovely to look out upon . The hotel was easily accessible from the town but was also in a quiet area . "My husband and I had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Stratton House Hotel. The atmosphere and decor of the place was so inviting but above all the warm and friendly staff were all outstanding! We brought along our 20 month old dog and she was thoroughly spoilt and lapped up lots of loving attention 😀 The bar and waiting staff were particularly memorable, not just for their excellent service but also their excellent hospitality. "Stratton House Hotel & Spa is a lovely hotel on the outskirts of Cirencester, not too far from Stroud. We stayed with our 2 Labradors for one night. The team were professional, friendly and proactive. The staff seemed happy to go out of their way to make our visit special, but I don't think that was unusual for them, it just seemed their default! We had a very nice breakfast sat in the garden, which is lovely. Again, the service was excellent! I would love to have an excuse to come back."

All staff, from check-in through to the restaurant service, were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the hotel is ideally located to explore Cirencester and the surrounding area. The food was to a very good quality, nicely cooked and presented. There are a range of options on the menu to suit all tastes and the menu is available to check on the website."
