Celebrating a Decade of Stratton House

2016 – 2026

From a 17th-century Georgian manor, home to the Masters family, to a US Air Force centre during the Second World War and a Grade II listed hotel since 1947, Stratton House has a long and interesting story.

This year marks a decade since Aidan & Sarah Stevens took ownership and set out to write the latest chapter, transforming it into the hotel you experience today. From thoughtfully reimagined bedrooms to a £1 million spa, every investment has been made with one purpose in mind.

Creating wonderful memories for our guests. Every day. Every stay.

2016 - Where it all began.

When Aidan & Sarah first walked through the doors in 2016, they saw something special. A place full of history, character and untapped potential.

From day one, they began to create 43 bedrooms and thoughtfully redesigned spaces, elevating every stay and experience through comfort, character & considered detail.

A complete transformation

From the original Georgian building to the spacious Cotswold stone wing, every corner of Stratton House has been redesigned with one thing in mind, creating a place guests would love to return to.

Rooms range from cosy classic doubles to generous feature rooms with roll-top baths, walk-in showers and views over the walled gardens. Each one is individual, considered and reflects the character of the house itself whilst adding the modern touches our guests expect.

A Note from Aidan & Sarah

As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we wanted to personally thank everyone who has been a part of our journey. Every guest who walks through our doors becomes part of the continuing story of this house, shaped by centuries of change, character and care.

From its early beginnings, through its many chapters, to the hotel you experience today, Stratton House has always been defined by the people within it. We look forward to welcoming you as we continue with our vision of becoming the Cotswolds favourite country house hotel.”

2021 - The spa was born

With the arrival of our £1 million Spa in the Garden, a new chapter began. A peaceful sanctuary dedicated to rest, relaxation and wellbeing, set seamlessly within our listed walled garden.

The Spa offers a full range of treatments using Temple Spa products, alongside a jacuzzi, sauna & steam room. Open to both hotel guests and day visitors, it’s a place to unwind and restore your body and soul.

2024 - Raising the table

Shaped by a £300k investment in our kitchen and restaurant, dining at Stratton House has evolved into something truly special.

The Garden Restaurant offers a seasonal menu of modern British cuisine, with views over our private walled gardens. For something more relaxed, there’s the Oak Bar or alfresco dining on the terrace or under the pergola.

Afternoon tea is freshly prepared daily by our in-house pastry chef, Zandra. Think perfectly made sandwiches, beautifully crafted cakes, and classic scones with jam and clotted cream.

Our guests love us....

The people behind Stratton House

From the team who bring Stratton House to life every single day, to the guests who have made this their home away from home, it’s the people within these walls who have shaped the last ten years more than anything else.

Some have been here since before the journey began whilst others have joined us along the way, but all of them have left their mark.
